THE HAMMAMS OF THE HASSAN II MOSQUE OF CASABLANCA

UNIQUE HAMMAMS OF THEIR KIND

Carried out in compliance with international norms and standards and anchored in the Arab-Muslim tradition, THE HAMMAMS OF THE HASSAN II MOSQUE consist of Hammams for women and Hammams for men. They occupy an area of 3000 m² each, which represents 6000 m² in total.

A unique site, each of the two hammams has traditional Moorish baths, a health bath with heated seawater and a tea shop.

The main operating volumes in each Hammam are as follows:

  • A large reception hall including a tea shop and a boutique.
  • A Moorish Bath and its scrub areas.
  • A health bath with heated seawater.

WELL-BEING ACCESSIBLE TO ALL

Every customer is able to access the traditional hammams called BainsMauresfor a price of 50 Dirhams. Faithfully designed so that everyone can carry out their personal hygiene treatments while respecting the ancestral tradition of the Moroccan Hammam. The service offer of Hammams, whose prices vary between 50 DH and 450 DH, is intendedfor both Moroccan and international customers, thus contributing to the influence of the city of Casablanca.

PRESENTATION OF HAMMAMS

The renovation work carried out focused on the complete repair of decorative coatings, in particular the Zellijebeldi and the Tadelakt, but also on LED lighting, all the safety devices of the Hammams and the reinforcement of all the technical equipment which has become obsolete.Each hammam, women and men, is arranged in:

  • Reception area.
  • Cloakrooms.
  • Moorish baths with its three usual rooms: Warm room, Hot room and a very hot room.
  • Scrub room.
  • health bath with heated seawater.
  • tea shop.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE RENOVATION PROCESS

• OPTIMIZATION OF ENERGY MANAGEMENT: The investment efforts made in energy optimization result in the installation of three new generation water / water heat pumps, with excellent performance coefficients. In addition, the seawater intake station was renovated to optimize the operation of the device.

• EQUIPMENT FOR RECEIVING DISABLED PERSONS: Everything has been thought of with HAMMAMS IN THE HASSAN II MOSQUE to facilitate the reception of disabled persons. Each hammam has electrical platforms to ensure the movement of disabled personsin the different spaces.

• REHABILITATED PARKS OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC: The client can access the hammamsby walking from the Hassan II Mosque esplanade or by vehicle from the Hassan II Mosque car parks with a video surveillance device.
